for Marion
----------

grabbing handfuls of big bright ideas
to cram them into a too small
planet

with more heart-beats than can fit
in a Terran minute
(more heart than can fit...)
you feel breathless
pinched
bent painfully
(in ways
you cannot bend)

you have to fly
you have to be
outside

(when songs are outlawed
only outlaws will have songs)
