The
Homeless People's
Network is an email
list whose members
are all homeless
or formerly homeless,
but whose archives
are public. The
purpose of the list
is to support &
communicate with
each other, but
also to strengthen
the voice of people
who have been marginalized
in our society and
help educate the
general public about
the realities of
homelessness and
homeless people.
I
chose this wonderful
background set from
Moon and Back Graphics
for my HPN membership
page because of
its echoes of Grapes
of Wrath, reminding
us of the many working
poor today, and
the realities of
impoverished and
homeless women and
children that get
buried and forgotten
in social stereotypes
of homelessness.
