When I Have a Home ...

Assembled from many of the homeless community.

When I have a home, I will eat off of a real plate, with a solid, adult sized knife and fork; I will eat food that I cooked and dished up for myself; I will eat in total silence.

When I have a home, I will lay in bed, on a real mattress, with a real pillow, with more than two blankets and NONE of them army green, and I will stay there for TWENTY-FOUR HOURS STRAIGHT.

When I have a home, I will take a shower any time I want to.

When I have a home, I will sit around nude any time I want to.

When I have a home, I won't be afraid to cry.

When I have a home, I won't be afraid to sing.

When I have a home, I won't be afraid.

When I have a home, I will have a cat of my own.

When I have a home, my babies can take their nap in a bed, and we don't have to keep movin' all day.

When I have a home, you're all invited over.
