I have always felt rooted in the Pacific Northwest. The childhood joy of walking through a birch grove, wading in a chuckling creek, hiding under a grape arbor, being comforted within weeping willow fronds and shuffling through soft, fresh snow, whitened evergreens as the only fence, has never left my heart.
Self taught, I found through transparent and opaque watercolor a voice to express my appreciation and concern for the earth and all living things; my joy for natural life, families, other creatures, soil, water, air, and the precious plant kingdom upon which all other life depends;
Whether an image is an original or a pigmented print, my hope is that you may hear, not only my voice but an encouraging still small voice within your own heart saying, "Enjoy life, nurture life, protect life and have courage to speak or act, when necessary, to help ensure that natural, healthy life abounds for all generations to come, according to the original purpose for creation." Then, as you think for yourself, guarding your own heart and integrity, I'm pretty sure more and more of us shall become cooperative team workers in our earth home and garden.
